Then trouble shooting and was taken to the link to update the printer firmware. I did find; however, that you may have to wait 3 second before your printer icon lights up. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the bottom network port on the back of the printer, then connect the other end to an available port on the back of your router. These are old problems that I just found solution. I have to shut it down and power it back up. There wasn’t any IP address listed, therefore my machine was not on my wireless network, and none of the troubleshooting tools could fix the problem.

Then tested it on my second computer, on Windows 7 and the printer works. Check all network connections and functions. The Brother HLW is a printer that can be connected to a wireless network, providing a solution for multicomputer printing in a wireless environment.
I couldn’t find it online though. If this listing says “Inactive,” you need to connect the Ethernet cable to a different port on the back of the router, then repeat this step. Thank you for your assistance.

Flaming or offending other users Illegal activities: I found this forum because I had the same problem just an hour ago. What I don’t understand is how an update can be applied to a print spooler and not expect to block its print ability?
I’m sure this info was not detailed enough for some and too detailed for others, but hopefully it’ll help to know it IS possible to solve this problem in less than 30 minutes.

I updated the firmware and it seems to have solve the problem permanently. This drives me nuts. This post has been flagged and will be reviewed by our staff. In reply to Nithyananda J’s post on September 24, What I had installed was corrupt because there was no network recognition of the printer.
Keep holding the “Go” button down until all of the lights on the top of the printer are illuminated, then release the “Go” button. Refer the support portal.

Basically my machine was in “deep sleep” or “offline” for a long time and I couldn’t wake it up. You are reporting the following post: Putting a header on it that reads Print spooler or some such name with print in it. Because it does NOT wake up.
To find out which particular update triggered the issue, turn off Automatic Updates. Sometimes the ‘Printer Offline’ message occurs due to a ‘Job Stuck’ issue.
Wait at least one minute so that the printer can obtain the network aindows from the router. Back to Peripherals forum 16 total posts.
